Gabriel Lynn: Tiny Super Hero

Gabriel Lynn was diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) while he was still in utero. Having HLHS means that the left side of his heart is under developed and is not able to pump the oxygen rich blood through his body. In the first three years of life, he will have to have three open heart surgeries and will require special cardiac care in the years after. Having these surgeries are critical to his survival, but will mean months in the hospital for both Gabriel and his family.
Already deeply in love, his mom and dad, Jenny and Josh, along with his three year old brother, Parker, prepared themselves for this difficult journey. They found fantastic cardiac care for their little one at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and they rallied their family and friends around them for prayers and support for baby Gabriel.
Gabriel was born July 24th - a gorgeous 7 lb 8oz baby with a full head of hair! After only a few days of adjusting to the world, Gabriel went to have his first of three open heart surgeries. The surgery went well, and he is currently working towards going home for a time before his next surgery at three months old.
Gabriel and his family need our help. Already Gabriel has been in the hospital for a month and will remain there for some time. Anyone who has had experience in the hospital knows how quickly those bills pile up. Jenny and Josh live and work an hour away from Children's MN in Minneapolis but are devoted to being with him at every possible moment. On top of that, they are trying to give their three year old some semblance of normalcy when they can. We want to rally around them and show them our support, so they can focus on caring for their two boys without the overwhelming stress of medical bills.
