Gabe Wise Family Medical Needs

Don’t let the smile on this young mans face fool you.  No matter what is happening in his life he keeps smiling and praising our Lord.  Gabe is an inspiration for everyone, no matter how bad the day is when you see that smile on Gabe’s face it makes all the trouble seem small. Gabe is the honorary Chief for our fire department and loves to attend our small country church.  Gabe loves to sing at church on Sunday but unfortunately he hasn’t been able to attend or sing due his critical airway and being hospitalized. This also kept him from being able to be Santa at our church which was very disappointing for everyone. 

Gabe has been struggling with airway issues for a few months.  Since the first of December, Gabe and his family has only been home approximately 14 days.  On New Years Day Gabe went into Cardiac Arrest and the family was told then that the prognosis was not good, because of his critical airway.  Due to Gabe’s critical airway, the ENT doctors here at Children's feel like he needs to see the airway specialist at University of Cincinnati children's hospital.   The family has been told that the University of Cincinnati has the best airway specialist in the world.  The family has no idea how long they will be gone. Gabe will be transported via the critical care jet and hopes are that his mother will be able to ride with him while his dad is driving up there so they will have a way home. 

Needless to say, like any loving parents, Ross and Marsha has been at his side the entire time.  This has created a large financial burden for the family.  Not only the mounting medical expenses, but daily living expenses too.
