Jerry Struzik is 55 and was diagnosed in 2014 with Stage IV Follicular Lymphoma which is throughout his chest,abdomen,pelvis and is present in the bone marrow.
He has been on an extensive chemotherapy regimen since 2014 and has been hospitalized for other various negative side effects.
Jerry is considered to be a good candidate for a stem cell transplant which will require him to be hospitalized at UVA Medical Center in Charlottsville, Virginia. Then he must remain in a Homewood Suites, close to the hospital, with 24 X 7 caregiver assistance.
Jerry has been unable to work since September 2017 and his disability insurance expires in February 2018.
Clearly the expenses are mounting as well as the stress levels! We need Jerry to focus all of his energies on this fight to be rid of this terrible disease!
Any and all funds would be used to offset the cost of the procedure (which is much higher than our goal amount), the housing/travel/food expenses while in Charlottsville, and some monthly obligations while Jerry is unable to work.
