Erik & Christine's GO NIC Fund

It has always been easy for me to stay sheltered in my own little world, after all its a crazy place. So, when Erik and I began discussing attending a GO Trip with Crossroads it is not surprising that it took him and my younger sister a few years to chip away at me and turn my "maybe next year" into "seriously, this year!". Granted my "maybe next year" was valid for a few of those years with pregnancies and little babies, so it only makes sense that I would say yes shortly after moving across the country, right?! Honestly, after years of praying it felt like I was being moved, maybe shoved, into doing something so far outside of my comfort zone that I had no choice but to answer with a resounding yes. It started as a conversation with my younger sister and quickly developed into our signing up and taking a leap of faith.
Erik, Shelli, and I have decided to take part in the July 2018 GO Nicaragua Compassion Trip. This trip is especially near to our hearts as we will not only be helping to dig water lines in the 2nd poorest country in the western hemisphere and building relationships with the people of Matilde, but Erik and I will also have the opportunity to meet the child we have been sponsoring the last four years, Rosaimara. We are excited, anxious, grateful...the emotions are endless!
