Mission to Haiti July 27-August 3, 2013

Dear Friends and Family,
My family and I have been given an amazing opportunity to go on a Medical Mission trip to Haiti this Summer.
My husband Reginald, my son Julian, and I will be spending 1 week in Southern Haiti, in the Les Cayes district from July 27th-August 3, 2013. We will be volunteering with the Gaskov Clerge Foundation. GCF has conducted annual medical missions to Haiti since 1999, tending to over 20,000 rural families.
While there, we will volunteer in one of GCF's Mobil Clinics. GCF's Mobile Clinics offer neurology, dental, gynecology, cardiac and psychiatric care to many patients in dire need of these services. GCF's teams have also worked closely with the local public hospital in Les Cayes to perform both minor and major surgeries for numerous cases. Neither my husband or I work in the medical field, but since we are both fluent in Haitian Creole, we will work as translators, and assist with all clerical and administrative duties needed.
This trip has been a life long dream of mine. It is also a homecoming for my husband who is returning to Haiti for the first time in 30 years. We are so fortunate that we can share this experience with our son. He can learn to truly appreciate the opportunity and privileges he has growing up in the States.
We will be using the donations to contribute towards lodging, transportation and security. If you would be willing to donate, we would be hugely grateful.
