Therese's Fight for Breast Cancer

Donation protected
A Note from Rich & Rachel:

Therese started her first treatment on February 12, 2015. She felt a bit weak and foggy from treatment at first and has since been resting at home, but so far she is feeling relatively well.

For all of her supportive friends and family out there, on behalf of Therese and the rest of our family, we would like to take an opportunity to thank you all for your incredible outreach and support. We are absolutely overwhelmed at how loved our mother is! I am sure that all of you understand how important this emotional support is. The feeling of being surrounded by love, prayers, your company, and a really beautiful community is a really priceless gift. You are making this health crisis so much easier for us in every way.

Whether you have given our family financial help, volunteer help, or emotional support, we love you so much for everything you have done to go out of your way to support us.

ABOUT THIS CAMPAIGN

In 2014, Therese was diagnosed with stage 2B breast cancer. She went through a myriad of tests and has since gotten the 2 masses & some lymph nodes surgically removed. After further testing, she was told it had metastasized to the lymph nodes. This changed her course of treatment from the original plan of just radiation to chemotherapy & radiation spanning over the next year plus.

She is not only battling cancer, but now she has to battle the intense side effects of the chemotherapy and in the future, radiation. Though she's a strong woman (the strongest we know), for any woman, losing your hair is traumatic, to say the least. Thanks to the Wellness House in Hinsdale, IL, she has received a wig (free of charge), and endless complimentary support offered through this organization. I urge you to check out their support groups if you have someone who you know going through breast cancer. They are amazing people. (

On average, people spend over $750 per month for out of pocket expenses...and that's with insurance. This new chapter in our mother's life posesses immeasurable physical, emotional and financial pressures for her. With her not able to work, she's going to face some struggles that are going to stress her financially. We'd like to do all we can to help her be stress free so she can focus on healing.

We are helping her to collect donations, large or small, to help cover medical bills during her treatments, medication costs, and therapies, as well as other costs that are arising as she goes through this process.

Thank you in advance for your donation through this GoFundMe website, and please keep Therese in your thoughts and prayers.

Love,

Rich & Rachel
