We need your help! In the past eight weeks, Anushka and Ashwin Kelkar, 16 and 22 years of age respectively (residents of San Jose, California, USA) suddenly lost both their parents.
Sonali Kelkar, a loving and dedicated mother to her two children, passed Thursday, August 1st, 2019. After surviving a long battle with ovarian cancer in 2017, her cancer returned aggressively last month and took her life in a matter of days. Just weeks prior to that, the family also lost Sudhanwa/Manish Kelkar (Sonali's husband) and dad to Ashwin and Anushka. Manish succumbed to a life-threatening illness he was diagnosed with earlier this year.
Both Manish and Sonali worked hard to support their family. They were friends one dreamt of having -- supportive, kind, and generous. Their stories and memory will live in our hearts forever.
Now, Ashwin, a recent college graduate, and Anushka, an 11th grade student, have been hit with this unfathomable tragedy. And with all of the emotional pain this brings, it also carries financial burdens. We are trying to raise money to help with their finances going forward. As a community, we want to ease the stress on the family caused by outstanding costs, the probate process, and loss of income.
It is in these times of loss and sadness when we rely on the kindness of human beings coming together to help one another make it through and support the people we care for. We are thankful for any support you may be able to provide.
