Memorial Fund for Eric Lockwood

The Charlotte community and the School of Rock family lost a beloved friend, mentor, teacher, and lover of music. Eric Lockwood opened so many hearts to the love of music through his work at School of Rock. He was a relentlessly motivational, empowering, and fun-loving teacher to hundreds of young people in the Charlotte community.

Eric wove himself into the fabric of every life he touched. His energy, passion, and enthusiasm moved people to challenge themselves and pursue a love of the artistry of music.

To friends, Eric was known for his infectious joy and a heartfelt hug. For bringing love and confidence to any room, any situation, any class of young people beginning the journey of musical empowerment.

This GoFundMe is an extension of the love and kindness Eric extended to everyone he met. Our response is one of support to someone who offered so much to so many. Money raised here will give Eric's family some breathing room to grieve, process, and be present with family and friends.
