Please help fund my son's summer program with
GLOBAL GLIMPSE
He was one of the 22 student from his school selected to go. This is not some lame "educational, wink-wink" summer trip. to prepare for the trip, the students have been meeting for the past 5 months. They will either go to Nicaragua or the Dominican Republic.
The program academic themes for each country include

OK, that's great but you have a good job, why do you need help you might ask.
Plan and simple I'm a victim of circumstance. When we signed Michael up I fully planned to cover it incase he could not raise any money. It's no secret that November and December are months where you can get Overtime work. This year My mother, Michael's only grandmother got critically ill, she easily could have died and she came very close to losing a limb.
that said, I stayed home to make sure she was getting the care she needed and the surgical wounds she had healed without complication. I was off for 2.5 months and only received 6 weeks of Paid Family Leave. It was a choice and savings were used.
Still I could have managed the five $750 monthly installments, or so I thought. At about 2 weeks of being back on the job, I, myself had my own Medical emergency requiring emergency surgery and will be off work for 4 weeks. Oh and the dog had an infected toenail requiring $600 in Vet bills. And I can't do a thing about it. That set was the straw that broke me and here I am asking for help---- which I really HATE doing, but I dont know how I'll make the next couple of payments.
My son is a sweet, kind and smart young man. He doesnt get in trouble and his only vice is computer gaming.
