Mexico is mourning. A powerful and destructive earthquake just hit Central Mexico and the damage is heartbreaking. It came exactly 32 years after the earthquake that damaged Mexico City in 1985.

My name is Carlos Garmendia. I was born and raised in Mexico City and I lived through the horrors of the first earthquake in 1985.

The area where I grew up was severely affected by this disaster. Many of my friends and extended family members are struggling through the aftermath of this disaster.

The death toll keeps rising. Millions are suffering through the aftermath, struggling to find the will to carry on. They need our help.

There is need of tools, medicine and tools to help the people affected.

*Update: 100% of the donations will be given to Fundacion Carlos Slim (http://fundacioncarlosslim.org/) who will be donating $5 pesos for every $1 peso donated to help the people impacted by the earthqake.
