Fry Guys Spinal Surgery

Hello! My little 11 month old Pomeranian Fry Guy is in need of spinal surgery...
Right from birth we knew something wasn't right - he was a third of the size of his litter mates and would not suckle his mom or move around as much.
As Fry got older and bigger his issues became more apparent. Fry would stomp when placing his feet and stumble a lot. By the time Fry joined my family he could no longer walk or move much, just look around.
Fry and I met with a animal neurologist and they placed him in a body splint that went from right under his jaw to his groin - restricting his neck movements for 5 months. his diagnosis was a gap in his spine were his head and neck meet (atlantoaxial instability). This gap is preventing his brain from communicating with his body.
Fry proceeded to get weekly bandage changes and lived a life of extreme pampering as to not stress / re-injure his neck as it heals. He spent every day all day in a little cage with padding everywhere. I would hand feed him a kibble of food at a time and offer him water through a hamster bottle because he could not bend his head or body to get it himself. I would snuggle him as often as I could in the best ways I figured.
When the splint came off for the last time his prognosis was that he would recover to 80% normality and everything was looking good! Fry has been going through 3 months of rigorous physiotherapy (standing, feet manipulation, slow walking, swimming, etc) in efforts to get him to a point of no longer being 100% dependent on us.
Through everything, Fry has been the happiest, sweetest,most lovable little guy. He absolutely loves being cooed and snuggled by everyone and anyone. He thoroughly enjoys licking in kittens ears and "playing" with other dogs (he doesn't really know what' he's doing, he just rubs all over them). Everyone that meets him adores him immediately. He is one special dude.
It comes with great sadness and disappointment that the procedure and our efforts in the last 8 months were not a success. Fry Is back to not being able to walk or get around much - he can barely stand.we now now need to get him a very specialized surgery that we just cannot afford on our own. The chances of this surgery being successful is 80-90%.
Fry will be able to walk And play again (clumsily, but independent). Risks are a chance he would pass away in surgery due to his size, screws needing replacement in a few years, or airway punctures from the screws. There are always risks though when looking at surgery.
My other option is to watch him get progressively worse until he is back to square one and will pass away from paralysis / breathing complications.
I am asking for donations because this surgery needs to be done shortly and I don't have what is required on hand. If we do raise money and are told Fry cannot be operated on for whatever reason and we have to humanely euthanise, all donations will go to another extremely worthy animal/family stuck in a similar situation.
