Help Sweet Clarence the GREAT Dane!

Agape Fosters is a 501C3 non profit, licensed Pet Rescue/Shelter in Iowa. We were asked to help a stray, starving Great Dane now affectionately known as Clarence. We said YES and who could not fall in love with this sweet big goof.
He was found emaciated and a wire found in and around his scrotum area and numerous large tumors on his body he was taken to the Vet office who called Agape Fosters about him.
This big, sweet guy was in extreme pain and after rushing him to vet, the care began, including sending tissue into be biopsed.

Finally some good news. Clarence's test results revealed that he did NOT have cancer, so began the process of surgery and rehabilitation. He was under (Jewell Animal Hospital) Vet's care for approx 10 days this first go round. And then went into a foster home for after care and to heal and become ready for adoption.
He is the sweetest most thankful boy.

Clarence almost lost his life a second time. He collapsed in the back yard (nothing was done with his eating pattern etc to cause this, all big dog care was followed).

He was rushed to emergency which was Iowa State Vet Hospital in the middle of the night only to find out after bloodwork, xrays and more that he had twisted gut and life saving measures either needed to take place immediately or his suffering needed to end.

We chose again to save his life, he is out of surgery, his heart is strong, he is still in the hopsital, if all goes well he will be released soon
