Anissa was a feisty, loving, charismatic, hilarious and selfless woman who inspired thousands. Her loss is devastating for her husband, three children and family - that devastation created a ripple across the internet that created a tidal wave of grief for those that knew her from her blog where she wrote about her daughter’s battle with cancer and then her own struggles after she suffered two strokes and a coma.

When she was in a coma her husband, Peter, blogged what was going on with her and thousands were cheering for her. #FreeAnissa was trending as the internet hoped to see her pull through. We weren’t done with her sass and neither was she. Anissa’s drive to live brought her out of a coma after the doctors had her family say goodbye.That drive gave her many years to watch her kids grow and live her life to the fullest. We all wish she had many more years still and the world is a little darker without her.

Anissa would want more than anything to know that her husband and kids are fine after her passing. She would have wanted them to use life insurance on their care, college education and happiness. With three kids quickly approaching college she would have wanted their education and a solid foundation on their young adult lives to take priority. We would like to come together and help with funeral costs for Peter and the kids to relieve some of the financial strain.
