Fred's Road to Recovery.......

In December of 2012, Fred Sutton, Jr. underwent a full knee replacement surgery. Upon discharge he was informed that it would take 12 weeks of therapy and rehabilitation before he could return to work. Being a healthy, strong minded, hard working and determined individual, Fred beat those odds and returned back to work shortly after 6 weeks of recovery. Having only been back to work for 4 weeks, Fred was struck with severe pains & illness which led him to be taken to the Emergency Room. After several hrs and tests, the Doctors revealed to Fred that his colon was diseased and perforated and had he not shown up to seek help when he did, his condition would have been fatal! Fred was then rushed to the OR where they performed surgery on his colon for nearly 5 hrs to cut out the diseased portions of his colon and resection the remainder of his bowel. Now after 6 long days in the Intensive Care Unit, Fred was stable enough to finally be transferred to a regular room....HOORAY! Although it is still unknown as to what caused this sudden bout of illness, the one thing we do know is that once released from the hospital, Fred will have a long road to recovery.....again! Since his new illness has occurred, we came to find out that Fred does not have Health Insurance, nor does he accrue sick pay or leave with his company, while working as a Plumber. Therefore, we would like to do all that we can to help our dear friend. Illness or Tragedy could strike anyone of us at any time and that's why we would like to come together and unite as one in this cause. On behalf of the 9/10 yr old Black Knights, we would like to reach out to our extended family and ask for your support and donations to help cover needed expenses for any medical treatment, medication, supplies and household bills & expenses.
