Come alongside RJ and Michelle
This is the Frazier Family: RJ, Michelle, and Gavin. They are an amazing and godly family who have been serving our community for years. Michelle works as a paramedic and RJ has been involved in many volunteer activities, including Search and Rescue.
They are currently experiencing a major financial and health crisis, due to RJ’s insurmountable health issues. Our women’s PH group felt led to create this page to help them overcome their situation.
We would love to provide the Frazier’s with enough finances to pay off their bankruptcy debt, past medical bills, and two months worth of pay for maternity leave, so they have the opportunity to start over and hopefully be able to manage their current bills. We are hoping to raise $75,000 to take care of the below needs. We are asking you to please prayerfully consider coming alongside this family to bless them and give them hope. We are told in the Bible to “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Gal 6:2). What better way to follow this command than to bless a family in need.

4 years ago, RJ became deathly ill. He was diagnosed with pneumonia, rhabdomyolysis, and mononucleosis. He subsequently developed signs of congestive heart failure and became reactive to medications, causing near death due to anaphylaxis. RJ has been to multiple doctors and hospitals, including OHSU and Stanford, to obtain a correct diagnosis and proper treatment, all to no avail. He is currently being treated with antivirals for an autoimmune disorder by an infectious disease specialist at Stanford, but the cause of his illness is still not fully clear. Currently, RJ’s illness has progressed to the point where he is basically homebound, leaving Michelle to provide for their family. This leaves her totally overwhelmed, physically, emotionally, and financially. She carries the burden of working during the day and then taking care of her husband and son during the evening and night. Additionally, she is pregnant with their second child, which is due in May. Due to the nature of her work, she will not be able to perform her duties starting in March. While she was hoping to take some time off for maternity leave, her accrued time was spent taking care of her husband, taking him to various hospitals and doctors. This will leave them without any income for approximately three months. Due to the mounting medical bills, they had to declare bankruptcy a couple years ago. They lost their home and are currently living in an RV on someone’s property to save on expenses. They are trying their best to be responsible and pay off their bankruptcy costs, while they continue to get bombarded with medical bills. Michelle’s income is just not enough to take care of their financial needs but is too much for RJ to qualify for the Oregon Health Plan. Both feel extremely overwhelmed and at times, even hopeless. As you can see they are in a financial storm and are having trouble keeping their heads above water. We are asking you to first pray for this family and then if your heart leads you please give a donation to reach our goal of $75,000. If you are on a budget, you can donate $10, 20, or whatever is on your heart once a month so it is not a financial stain on your income. We will have the account going for a full year. Please spread the word to your friends and family, and share this link.
