It's Christmas time, you can be part of a miracle and return sight to the blind.
My father, Frank Sr., suffers from macular degeneration. He's been legally blind for around 20 years. He has four grandchildren who's faces he's never been able to see grow throughout the years.
Frank Sr. is a man who served his nation, he is a disabled veteran who served in the Navy. He's a plumber by trade and has worked many jobs over the years to care for his family. Ultimately he was forced to retire in his job at the Post Office after his eyesight deteriorated to the point he could not do the job any longer.
Through the miracle of modern technology he has the opportunity to see again. A Canadian company, eSight , created a new device. When he tested it out, it brought him from the legal blindness level of 20/600 vision up to 20/80, With the device he could read again, watch tv, and interact with his grandchildren.
The device cost $15,000. So we're asking for any help you can give. Please donate what you can to help make this the first time in two decades that my father can watch the wonder of his grandchildren on Christmas Day.
