Frank Wright, my husband, is a fabulous man of integrity and strong character! He came from Cuba as a child, is a very proud American and has a great sense of humor.
Frank has been a successful Casino Games Dealer, Trainer, Pit Boss and Management Team member in the Gaming industry for 30 plus years. His customers truly love him because he is honest, fair, affable and funny. More importantly, Frankie takes a sincerely personal interest in people with his warm heart ! He always seeks to help others, especially those who are hurting.
Frankie beat kidney cancer 10 years ago with a partial nephrectomy, no chemo, and good living! And he kept working. But it appears that Gadolinium Dye used in diagnostics, sepsis, and more recent medical drug delivery mistakes all contributed to Frank's kidneys ultimately failing.
Concurrent with this, Frank started losing his eyesight when pressure built up in his eyes from a Pseudo Tumor Cerebri in September 2017. The intervention of two fantastic Eye Doctors here in Reno reversed it and saved his eyesight, thankfully!
A year ago in October 2017 Frank started life-sustaining dialysis. He's had three surgeries for dialysis access which greatly damaged his left arm and hand! He is now in PT 3 times weekly for restoration of function. Frankie's pain has been immeasurable for 11 months, and the physical toll has been astounding!
SO, IS THIS REALLY AN SOS ? YES !! THIS IS OUR 'HAIL MARY' !!
Frank is on the UC Davis Kidney Transplant list. And Drs. say he needs a Kidney Transplant ASAP for these issues to reverse and start life anew. We are hoping and Praying for a Living Kidney Donor for healing. Frankie has had many life challenges, including losing daughter Annalee at 10 years old; yet he is meeting this one with his same incredible strength, solid courage, and unwavering Faith!
The donations we seek would be used for "All things Kidney for Frankie"! The KidneyCare business has broken us financially. When Frank receives the Honor of a Living Donor Transplant, we want to help with the financial issues posed for the donor, also. There is much travel for donors and recipients, as well as lost work.
We also need some financial help with Drs' therapies, not covered by insurance, that will sustain and strengthen Frank for Transplant. These needs are critical for healing restoration!
