Four Seasons Mexico Earthquake Reli

As I watch the news out of Mexico City I am once again reminded of Mother Nature’s unimaginable power and capacity for destruction. On Tuesday the city was struck by a devastating 7.1 magnitude earthquake. To make matters more challenging, the country was already recovering from an earthquake that hit less than two weeks ago.
Knowing all our guests and employees are safe and that our Hotel is fine is a great relief, but as the city moves from rescue to recovery we know it will be a long road ahead.
Several of our employees have lost or experienced significant damage to their homes. Across the city there is a need for essential supplies and financial support to help rebuild. So far more than 200 lives have been lost and the death toll continues to rise. More than 35 buildings – from offices and apartments to schools – have collapsed across the city and countless more are damaged.
Jose and the team in Mexico City have been working tirelessly to assist in the recovery efforts, providing food to volunteers and helping to distribute supplies. Many of you have also expressed a desire to help. In response, we have set this fundraising page, and invite you to contribute personally, get together with your colleagues to raise funds, or work with your Director of HR on other ways to help. All proceeds will go to the Mexican Red Cross.
