Kids who are born into adverse circumstances don’t ask to be foster kids. They don’t ask to live in multiple foster homes and attend multiple high schools causing disruption in their education and instability in their lives.  The outcomes for older youth in foster care are alarming. Nationally, only 50% of youth in foster care graduate from high school, and only 3% graduate from college.  C.B. Community Schools is helping to address this issue. They give hardworking, bright, and traumatized youth in foster care a fighting and fair chance to graduate and pursue a positive path forward. By giving them a chance at breaking the cycle, they are able to lift their heads in pride knowing that they entered a school where “I can’t do it”’ is never accepted.
