Family of 4 In Need of a Home

Hello Everyone!

I am currently working directly in conjunction with the non-profit charity group Kind Hearted Lankan's (a charity group I have worked firsthand with in the past) to help raise money for a family of 4 in southern Sri Lanka to help build them a forever home.

Why? This family is extremely impoverished. They currently live in a little shack that has been trampled over and destroyed by wild elephants multiple times. Living in fear of elephant attacks is the norm for them. They have never had the opportunity or luxury of having a proper decent home or even a toilet.  In order to use the bathroom, they have to go into the nearby jungle. They have no running water, or electricity. 

A little bit about the family: They are a lovely family of 4, with 2 daughters, one 15 year old named Nethmi and a 7 year old named Dahami. Both whom attend school to obtain a proper education. Unfortunately, with their financial situation, the 2 daughters have to resort to selling dry wood on the side of the road to make a living with their parents. 

The goal: To build this family a forever home. A two bedroom house with a living room, kitchen, and a toilet.  Our target is $4,000. Once we hit $2,000, we can start building! We hope to start building beginning of March!

All proceeds will go towards this family and their house. Any amount will help! Lets make a difference and make a positive impact for this family, as a basic decent shelter should not be a luxury, but more so a fundamental human necessity.
