ForRobert

My dear cousin Robert passed away unexpectedly on February 25th due to tragic circumstances. There was no time to prepare, including his dear three children and his wife Lillian.  Although our paths didn’t cross enough, he was my cousin through and through, always a little older, funnier, and braver and beloved by family.  I still can't wrap my mind and heart around this loss, but I am comforted by his continued journey in a different place.

We who are here can play a role in extending both our care and support for the family.  Robert's older sister Stephanie and cousin Franklin have been on the front lines of carrying forward the funeral preparations.  Behind the scenes, other family members are stepping in, in lots of ways. The current plans are to have him placed in a cemetery next to his great uncle Franklin.  The family welcomes your support for these efforts as there is a significant need to help with making sure Robert receives proper internment and ceremony.

In addition to preparing for his funeral, there are innumerable ways that we can help support Robert’s wife and children through this sudden loss. If we lived in a village, we would take turns to cook dinner, care for his three children, open our homes to love them, and seek to find ways to bring smiles to the faces of his beloved ones. Let us create this virtual village of support.
