Flood Relief for the Voss Family

Hello everyone,
Vicki is a friend and fellow employee at Avera Health in Sioux Falls, SD. Her family resides in Canton, SD, but their home has been severely damaged from the flooding on Monday, June 16th.
Vicki's post on Facebook:
“My emotions are difficult to express right now. After owning our home for less than three months, we sit helplessly and watch it be destroyed. We had 9" of rain and have been inundated with nearly 6 feet of sewage in our basement. Possessions can be replaced, and yet watching as your sons First communion rosary that he made by hand, floats by in a sea of filthy waste, brings me to my knees. I'm angry, sad, broken, confused, exhausted, and feel completely helpless. The waste water continues to gush like a geyser from our basement drain, shower, and stool. The city has told us there is nothing they can do to help us. Just keep pumping. We have been advised that there are a 'handful of homes that the sewer has selected to use as the back flow release'. To say that my home has become the neighborhood's toilet is more than I can emotionally comprehend at this time. We are by far not the worst off. We have each other and are physically safe. God help us as we journey down this unpaved and unmapped path we are traveling.”
