Flood Relief for the Buck Family

Stuart, Farah, and their 6 children were forced out of their home and evacuated by boat from their Katy home due to the devastating flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey. The Buck family lives right by the Barker reservoir which has reached capacity due to the heavy rains. To avoid a greater catastrophe, the Army Corp of Engineers has allowed controlled releases of water which impact the communities close to the reservoir. Stuart and his family made it safely to a local shelter and are now staying with friends until they know more about the state of their home. Unlike others who live in flood zones and are required to have flood insurance, the Buck family never expected that their neighborhood would flood and do not have insurance. The water levels are projected to continue rising and it’s unclear when the Buck family will be able to return to their home and rebuild. Your contributions will help them start over. Thank you!

My name is Karla Sainz, and Stuart is my colleague. We've worked together for 6 years and I care deeply for him and his family. I also live in Houston but have been fortunate to suffer no damages during the terrible rains brought on by Harvey.
