Hello!
My name is Flash. I am a San Francisco based painter and currently living in New York City. After obtaining my BFA at San Jose State University in 2013, I began experimenting with abstract, geometric designs. Since then, I’ve been passionate about discovering new shapes, perspectives, and colors and combining them in spontaneous and unusual ways. My work is rarely mapped out and is often inspired by the first color or shape I create, making each piece unique.

The time has finally come!
While living in New York, I have always been inspired by the creative talent and large scale murals throughout the city skyline. As an emerging artist, I would muse the idea of painting my own mural one day, but it seemed a distant reality. This has all changed in the past month!
I've been given an opportunity to paint a massive 3-story mural in the heart of the Bowery district in NYC. The mural will be 30' x 50', cover 1,500 square feet, and take an estimated four weeks to complete.
The owners of the building will not compensate me for anything. This includes the cost of insurance and permits ($2,500), boom rental ($5,000) and all materials: paint, tape, brushes, rollers, etc ($1,000).
I am reaching out to ask for your support. This is my biggest aspiration as an artist to paint large scale and to leave my mark within NYC. I'm excited and empowered to make this mural come to life.
