Fire Leaves Roxie Homeless

Roxie can use your help. This past Wednesday (September 11th) her son was trying to help burn and remove a bees nest close to the home which unfortunately caught the back of the house on fire. The son is currently in the hospital and mentally struggling with the fact his mother is now homeless.
The Novi fire department was able to stop the fire from spreading and burning the home down. There is extensive water damage to the upstairs and is currently unlivable. The city will determine if the home should be condemned at this point.
Roxie is 84 years old and recently lost her husband in June who was not able to leave her with much. In fact, they had NO homeowners insurance on their home. So, there is no coverage to help rebuild.
Roxie has limited family here and they do not have the physical or financial means to help. I met them today and her daughter has MS and her other son just had gallbladder surgery. There is a lot of clean up that needs to be done.
The Novi fire department was gracious to give her two nights in a hotel but now Roxie is currently sleeping in her car. This breaks my heart.
I brought her some food and water today and asked how I could help. What Roxie needs the most is funds to help her find a low income place to live in the meantime. She does have clothing, beddings and basic living items that she is using from the home. I'm sure Roxie would also appreciate any volunteer handyman to help rebuild her home if the city does not condemn it.
I'm asking that our Novi community and anyone who feels inclined to help Roxie. I do not personally know this family but I do know that what I saw today broke my heart. Roxie is a very sweet lady and I'm sure would be very grateful for any amount you could help donate.
