Rebuilding Fiore-Ortiz
On December 29, 2017 a neglectful act changed this family's life forever. Donna, a single mother of two, Jason and Suzanne was awoken from a frightening, pounding on the door, It was her neighbor. "My kitchen is on Fire!" Living in an adjoining condo, Immediatly Donna sprung into action. Her first concern was to evacuate her family, and all other families effected by this viscious fire. Anyone who knows Donna, knows she is always willing to lend a helping hand, that is why she is being called the hero of this fire. After getting the residents to safety, she quickly grabbed her fire extinguisher and fearlessly ran into her neighbors home and put out part of the fire to contain it from spreading. Unfortunatly it was too late. The fire had already penetrated through the adjoining wall into her sons room and proceeded to destroy her home and all her belongings. The Fiore-Ortiz family insurance will not cover all of the damage done. Each day Donna finds more and more wrong with what is left of what she called home, morning until dark the work has been tedious, exhausting, and heart wrenching.
