My husband and I went out of state to visit family for the holidays. While staying with my brother in law in Louisiana we went to visit my father in law who was in the hospital. While at the hospital my brother in laws kids accidentally let Zero out of the room we were staying in and he bolted out the front door trying to find us. He is in a new and strange place. The sights, sounds and smells are unfamiliar to him. He is scared and has been missing for days. We have searched every day and night for him, walking for miles. The area he is missing in is heavily wooded and all long back roads.
We have posted on all avenues of social media. Our relatives have spoken with neighbors and posted in the local groups they are members of. I, myself, have joined several local groups to post pictures. we had flyers made and have left them all over the area. Thanks to a kind friend we were able to hire the drone specialist to fly the area to search for him.
My husband and I had nearly given up hope. We extended our stay an extra couple of days to continue our search, but we had heard nothing for days. We left early Wednesday morning to head back to Texas. As we neared Shreveport our car began to act up. We pulled over to try and figure it out and I got a phone call. Zero had been spotted just a few hours earlier.
We made the decision then and there that we would not leave without our boy. We turned around and headed back. This decision is going to put additional financial strain on us from missing work and being away from home, so everything raised from here on out is going towards supporting us in our search efforts.
