Help Abby find a forever home

Donation protected
Headed home near Virginia the Sunday night before the ice storm, I saw a dog in road. Two options. Hope for the best and keep going or pick her up. I choose the latter. She was filthy and had no tags, but just as sweet as she could be. Not knowing her medical condition or temperament around other dogs, I had to take her to the emergency after hour's clinic. In order for them to keep her overnight they had to give her all of her vaccine shots. The next day they did a full examine and testing. The two scary tests were for heartworm and mange. Both negative! As expected, she had ear infections, some skin issues, some parasites/worms, overgrown nails, and was/is underweight. They gave her a good scrubbing and started medicine to take care of the aforementioned (non-serious) issues. What a difference a week makes! She is looking so much better every day. Over course a caveat had to get thrown into this story. She doesn't seem to be a big fan of her canine companions. I have visited with her every day and we have gone on long walks around the lake. Her disliking of other dogs is mainly when they approach her. Not knowing her previous experiences, it appears to be more defensive than offensive. At any rate, she would be a great "only' pet. She is very gentle with kids. We did a trial real life test at my dad's condo last night. She passed with flying colors! So well behaved. No messes indoors. No chewing. Only barked once when I got her wild:). This dog is CRAZY sweet and so loving towards humans.
So, this whole save Abby endeavor is starting to get pricey. As much as I have tried not to, I love this girl to pieces. I realize that the dog aggression issues really limit her adoptability points. I am trying my best to find her a forever home but any help that you guys provide towards her ongoing boarding fees and other expenses is so greatly appreciated. Also, if you have any foster suggestions, that would be great as well. I'm good with what I have spent so far and will continue to do what I can to keep her in safe hands. Any contributions that exceed the expenses from this point forward will be donated to the Wake County SPCA. Thank you Eric
