Help Visha's Family To Find Her

14 year old Visha Amjad from Karachi, Pakistan was kidnapped on her way to school last Wednesday 24th Sep. We found out she was abducted by a child molester and our worst fears were confirmed when we found out that the abductor, Mohammed Bilawal, has forced her into marriage despite her being underage (he has stated she is 18 years old on the marriage certificate). A Facebook page has been created by us, Visha's relatives living in the UK, to raise awareness and the attention of the media and authoritative people. Sadly, Visha is not deemed important enough for media attention right now, as we've learnt by contacting dozens of news outlets including BBC, GEO, ARY, Sky News etc.

Her parents are extremely poor, sometimes they can go days without a single meal being cooked in the home as they quite simply are struggling to survive. The costs of the police investigation, coupled with a burglary organised by Bilawal's armed thugs a day after Visha's abduction have stretched them beyond their means. This new development in the case has now raised a new issue - in order to rescue Visha from the clutches of this sick, twisted individual, and annul the so-called 'marriage' by proving her real age, they must go through court proceedings. The legal court fees to bring him to justice and fight him in court will be a lengthy, messy and costly process that is quite simply out of the financial reach of Vishas parents. They have no other option - if they don't go down the legal route, they won't get their daughter back and the monster will walk free.

We (Visha's family in the UK) thereby humbly request donations we can provide to her parents to ensure they can continue to work with the authorities to bring their daughter home. Alongside this, we must ensure they can continue to afford basic necessities such as simple foods for their other children.

PLEASE donate however much you can - if you cannot help with the investigation into her abduction and forced marriage and rape, at least help with feeding her siblings whilst her parents deal with the unspeakable grief they must be suffering.
