Run for the Flying Fish!!!
On 28 July I will run a full marathon in Manila to raise funds for a new project that teaches deeply impoverished children swimming skills through water polo. During the super typhoon ''Haiyan'' that struck the Philippines in November 2013 countless children lost their lives by drowning. This project will introduce water polo in a playful manner to children from the Papaya Academy. It aims to provide an escape from extreme poverty while teaching them swimming skills that can prevent them from drowning. As 80% per cent of the children of the Papaya Academy live on the garbage dump they are highly vulnerable to the frequent occurence of typhoons in the Philippines. The funds will be used for pool hire and equipment. This project is imposible without the help of the public. Please donate generously.
