FIGHT with Michele Cancer Fund

Donation protected
This is my Mom, Michele. She is one of the most beautiful, empathetic, caring, and kind souls that you will ever cross paths with. She is a ray of sunshine on the darkest of days, a rainbow of personality so beautifully put together

My mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in January of 2016, at the age of 50. This news came as a huge blow to my family (as cancer always does) and it's something that you can never truly prepare yourself for. My mom is a fighter though, and she faced this disease with all the strength that she had. She and her oncologist worked together with a plan, and in February of 2016 she had a mastectomy, followed by rounds of intense chemotherapy.

Months had gone on, and my mom was told she was cancer free. There are no words for how thankful we were, for how much we cherished having this time with her. She has always been one of Brayden's primary care takers, and she has always been the center of our family.

Fast forward to 3 weeks ago, and my mom wasn't feeling like herself. She was having extreme chest pain, and after failed trips to the ER thinking she had bronchitis, little did they know her liver was full of tumors, and she was put back in the hospital.

We never could have been prepared for the test results that she got back. My mom's breast cancer has metastasized to her liver, resulting in over 75% being taken over by the cancer. It has also reached her bones, causing her extreme pain in her sternum and spine where they also found more tumors.

I don't believe in any person being able to give a time frame on someone's life, but what my mom is fighting is serious. Her liver is failing and the oncologists are saying she has a matter of months to years depending on the treatment she is able to get to battle this, and how she responds to it.

This is stage IV (4) Metastatic Breast Cancer, and there is no cure. What there is, are means to fight it, and means to live with it depending on the treatment available. My family has never been well off, and anything that is donated will go directly to the endless medical bills, and helping my dad take time off work to spend as much time as possible with her to make this as comfortable as possible.

She is starting with 12 rounds of Chemotherapy, and if she responds well to the treatments, they will move on to hormone therapy. This is all extremely costly.

I am at a loss as I write this, but I am here to be strong for my parents, and do everything I can to advocate for this terrible  disease that we call cancer. I need my mom, my son needs his grandma, my dad needs his wife, and my family wants nothing more than to keep our ray of sunshine around as long as we possibly can.

Please keep my mom in your prayers, let's lift her up and help her fight this battle.
