Fighting Ruth's Detour

It is true that our friend Ruth Flynn is again battling cancer, this time parotid cancer. The good news is that she is about 1/2 way through her treatments.  Unfortunately she is not able to take treatment locally and instead must travel to Rochester/Mayo weekly coming home on weekends.  As you can appreciate the cost of gas, eating meals out and hotel accomodations 5 days/week adds up QUICKLY, let alone the astronomic hospital bills that lie ahead.  When I heard the situation I knew immediately that there is a tribe of friends that would want to help out.  Given the situation, full family meals are not necessarily the right answer for their active bunch.  Much more helpful are mailed notes and cards, lots of prayers and truly, donations to this page that they can use for medical and travel costs.  Gift cards for gas, Hy-Vee or restaurant gift cards are terrific too, if you want to tuck one into a friendly supportive card mailed to them directly, but GoFundMe funds are honestly the best help right now.   We do not want to overwhelm the family with more calls and questions so please respect their privacy and they will be in touch when possible.  Thank you SO MUCH for your help and support!
