There are some people you meet in life that you just know you'll never forget. People who imprint in your mind and on your heart who change the dynamic of any room just by being there. That's Aimee.
My name is Kit and I'm Aimee's boot camp instructor at West Allen Evening Texas Fit Chicks. She joined our sisterhood of women several months ago and our camp hasn't been the same since. Boot camp just isn't as fun when she isn't there and the void will not go unnoticed these next few weeks and likely months.
Aimee texted me a couple weeks ago and said she hadn't been feeling well and was having some issues. She said she was just going to take the week off and try and get better, maybe go see a doctor. I didn't think anything of it, wished her well and told her to keep me posted. A few days later I hear from her again but this time it's a bit more serious. Her liver is enlarged and their not sure why but she's having an MRI and she'll keep me posted. We then receive the devastating news that Aimee has been diagnosed with liver cancer. My heart dropped.
Aimee is the beautiful mother to 2 equally beautiful little girls who are only 6 & 9 years old and she is happily married to her husband Jason. She is young and strong and with God on her side and all those who love her she will beat this. I have faith that her pure spirit, her laughable and loveable ways will be what fuel the fire to survive.
The money raised will go toward helping her husband with everyday necessities that require money from groceries, to Christmas, to gas and other added expenditures this diagnosis will have. We do not want Aimee and her family to worry or stress about money or be concerned about continuing care for their girls. Their focus needs to be on God, one another and beating this ugly monster we call cancer. One dollar makes a difference so please help me take as much burden off their shoulders as possible so that in the days, weeks and months to come she can put all her energy into kicking cancer's butt.
