Lisa Tobin's Medical Expenses

November 3, 2017, we celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary, who knew less than a month later we would be on this rollercoaster ride of our lives. Your name and cancer should never appear in the same sentence, however, for me they do. On December 1st I was diagnosed with Cancer. The initial diagnose was Nasal sinus Cancer.  After the PET Scan results on December 11th we were given a bigger blow when they discovered it was primary Colon Rectal Cancer that has spread to several locations throughout my body. My family and I have had our world dropped out from under our feet. What started as what we thought was a Sinus Infection has turned out to be the scariest diagnoses we could ever had imagined.  I worked part time and am now unable to provide that second income for my family. My family that has been by my side through this entire ordeal. I am currently being treated at the University of Pennsylvania and will have my first Radiation treatment on Wednesday December 20th. There will be several rounds of Radiation with Chemotherapy to follow.  From June 2019 till end October I was on a treatment plan that included a chemotherapy that was stronger than I was used too. By October my red blood cell counts and platelets were at their lowest ever not only am I back on oxygen I am back needing my walker and wheel chair. I have become so exhausted that all I did was sleep most of the time. The doctors gave me a two week break to allow my blood levels recover and hope I would feel stronger. We have tried a lower dose of two of the drugs but I am still feeling exhausted and needing my walker and wheelchair. The toughest thing is sitting here every day wanting to be able to stand up and do little things like do the wash. Wanting to walking with out a walker or oxygen or a wheelchair. My husband is trying his hardest not to take on a second job to pay for college and other bills. As you can imagine the cost of my treatments will be costly. We appreciate any and all donations to help us with this financial burden.  I am a fighter, and I will fight this for myself and my family! Please keep myself and my family in your prayers. God is good and will help see us through this!
