Debbie Cummings is a thoughtful creative woman with boundless energy. She was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer 5 yrs ago . Knowing the financial challenges she would face she sold her house on the coast a move in to help care for her 84yr old mother. During the past 5yrs she been a devoted mother, care giver, and model employee , all the while receiving aggressive chemotherapy treatments., most often alone. Her success it not solely a result of infusions but of her attitude. Few knew of her grave illness , feeling that knowledge would make people uncomfortable
Debbie has never asked for help and continues to fight this battle alone. However the cancer has spread and her energy is depleted she is not able to work. She has started a new immunotherapy program which has great promise . Through the care and financial support of a community of friends, family , neighbors, and philanthropists . We can reduce the financial burden she faces each day and let her focus on recovery . Any act of kindness is valuable
