Fifi Soccer Foundation Project

My name is Kingsley  Baiden, popularly know as Fifi Baiden. I live in Santa Barbara, California and I'm the president/CEO of Fifi Soccer Foundation. When the goal of the fundraiser is met, I intend to withdraw the money by attaching the foundation's business account number for the money to be deposited directly from GoFundMe to the account. The money raised is intended primarily to buy the land necessary to build the Fifi Soccer Foundation facilities in Ghana. In order to understand the vision of Fifi Soccer Foundation, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm  originally from Ghana. I attended high school at Dunn School , and college at UCSB. I went on to play professional soccer for he Columbus Crew and I'm currently a soccer coach at Santa Barbara Soccer Club. Growing up in Ghana was tough, as my family was poor and struggled to put food on the table and a  roof over our head. I sold kerosene to help support my family. As a result of this harsh childhood experience, it is my desire to help empower orphans and underprivileged children to become leaders in their community. My vision is to provide housing, education, healthcare, clean water, and sports facilities that will equip them with the necessary skills needed to become better citizens of the world.

This project is about raising funds to buy the necessary land needed to build a school, a clinic, and sports facilities to benefit and empower many orphans and children living in poor conditions in Ghana. Plagued by poverty, many orphans and children are left wondering the streets of Ghana with no future ahead. Left without the basic necessities of life, Fifi Soccer Foundation is committed to bring hope and joy in the lives of these children. With a warm heart, we plead with you all to help fund the purchase of land to start the project. It is important to get the land as soon as possible as it will give the children a sense of belief and hope about their future and the joy to fully benefit from the Fifi Soccer Foundation project. 100% of the money raised from GoFundMe will go directly to the purchase the land needed to build the facilities for the foundation in Ghana. Excess funds will go to the construction of the building. All funds donated are tax deductible as permitted by law.

The biggest challenge so far is getting the land to start the project. The estimated land to accommodate this building project is about 6 acres. The team in Ghana met with the chief of the village, Nene Tetteh Kwao, who was thrilled about our project. He offered to donate about 2 acres of land to help, and also promised to provide labor by getting the whole community involved to build the facilities. We are now faced with buying the remaining 4 acres of land.  Each acre of land is about $4000. From the bottom of my heart, I ask all of you my friends to support this fundraising campaign as my project will provide education, health care, sports training and leadership skills benefiting over 200 orphans and children living in poor conditions from the village of Agomeda and other parts of Ghana. Thank you all for your big heart and generous hands.
