Fergus needs surgery again

I want to thank everyone that helped us with Fergus's surgery last January!  We couldn't have done it without your love and generosity.  While Fergus was making terrific progress on his new knee, we knew we had to remain diligent about his other back leg. The statistics are high that within the 1st year, the other back leg could experience a similar injury. 

Despite working really hard the last 10 months to build muscle and protect his right hind leg,  the worst case scenario has happened. X-rays have confirmed he has a full tear and requires the same surgery. The good news is once this one is repaired, he will never hurt his back legs again and be able to be the carefree, snow bounding Berner he is meant to be. The bad news.... it will be another $4,000 to fix it. I decided to keep his original Go Fund Me open- and add on the $3700 cost to what we had already raised from his last fundraiser.

We just finished paying off the last surgery- and while this one will be half of what we paid the 1st time (different surgeon and facility, making it much less), we are again trying to come up with the funds to pay this.

His surgery is scheduled for January 11th,  almost 1 year to the day of his last surgery and 2 days shy of his 4th birthday.  While I struggled to post about this, many of our dear friends that love Fergus encouraged me to do so.

So here goes, without any expectation.
