Felix's Third Paw At Life

We brought Felix into our life on April 11, 2018. At the age of 1, year and 19 days.   We both never thought about saving a fur-baby from a shelter, but the very first evening we meet Felix, we knew it was the right decision.  One of the quietest, caring and lovable pups reached not only into our hearts, but also our souls.  Right then and there, we knew it was our turn to give him a second chance at the best life possible.  Unfortunately, after four short months, things have turned for the worst.  Three days ago (August 7th, 2018) we took Felix to an Animal Emergency Hospital, in thoughts, he was having seizures, only to find his heart was the problem.  Felix was diagnosed, by a cardiologist, with Third Degree (completed) heart block and now needs a pacemaker.  Felix needs your help and so do we, as of now, his second chance of life is being cut way too short. So let us try for a third; as third luck is the charm! Unfortunately, Felix was to have surgery Friday, August 10, 2018, but we had to reschedule due to the lack of receiving any more funds. 

We grew so attached to Felix within the last four months he is our baby boy, new toys weekly, two mile walks daily, dog parks weekly, and monthly daycare and spa days. 
We are raising these funds to pay for Felix to receive a pacemaker and help pay for his medical bills. All left over funds will be donated to help another family and their pet in the same need as Felix.  As soon as we reach our goal, his surgery will be underway, at this point the sooner the better!   

Felix's heart rate is plummeting, what started out as 40bpm three days ago, is now down to 23-26bpm and medication isn't helping.

We are currently working with CVCA in Vienna, VA (unfortunately they are closed over the weekend) for a print out of a quote to post in the update section however; Brett Bootstin, DVM, Cardiology Resident At CVCA in Leesburg, VA and Kayla from CVCA in Vienna, VA (sistering companies) gave us a price of $4,750 for the procedure, not including any follow up visits for every 1-3 months for the first year of $420 PER Visit {Depending on the Doctor's order), or the overnight stay in their emergency room facility that charges separately which ranged from $500-1,000 per night depending on the treatment needed. We hope to have this info tomorrow to post on our gofundme page! We know 6,000 won’t cover everything, but we will find our own way to pay credit cards back and and also his checkup visits.

As goes for funding, it goes directly to us, which will support Felix’s campaign. We understand ,this can cause speculations, for some people however there is no way to setup a plan through CVCA to pay them directly from GoFundMe.

In the worst case scenario... Our plan if he would pass away before the surgery is completed we will be for searching another family who is in need for the same procedure from the assistance of CVCA. This info will be updated to the campaign if he does pass prior to the surgery.
