Father and Son...

Allan "St. Johnn" Blondell, II passed on August 10, 2021, after a short stay in Mercy hospital, from a pre-surgical procedure.  St. Johnn, the only offspring of Helena and Allan Blondell, loved his family dearly and cherished time spent with them.  He was a loving father of four children, a dedicated husband, and a friend many were honored to know and keep.

His friends and family span from the globe.

St. Johnn was an educator, one that was passionate about art, theatre, and music. He loved photography and captured memories of a lifetime.  He exemplified a passion for arts through his teaching and making a difference for each student in his class.  He made a difference with several community volunteering endeavors and coaching the girls winning soccer team at his school, Overlea High.

Allan S. Blondell, Sr., passed on September 03, 2021, after a sudden cardiac arrest event at Howard County General Hospital, in Columbia, Maryland.  Allan mourned deeply the death of his son, St. Johnn.  He died with a broken heart.  All who knew him knew of his love for family.  He said on the morning of his death that St. Johnn was calling him.

Allan loved the study of World History and U.S. History.  He could engage for hours on many topics linking the past to current events.  He also loved people and inspiring young adults to identify their purpose and fulfill their goals.  His wife of 52 years is lost without his humor and laughter and ongoing support of her, their grandchildren, and friends.  The loss of a husband and the only son is difficult to process.

Join us in honoring  St Johnn’s and Allan's legacy via the funeral and impact through establishing a scholarship fund in their memory of the
Arts and Mentoring.
