<div>My situation has been transpiring since the beginning of COVID. I struggle to recover from the effects it has had on my life as a result, I am still in hardship.

<div>Food stamps have been reduced to almost nothing with the new bill that has passed removing foodstamps from the homeless or anyone without income.
</div>
<div>I search for employment everyday and finding a job has been fruitless unfortunately.
</div>
<div>Regardless of these things I am striving to better myself. Just this past June 2026, I have been taken in by someone over the summer that I'm super grateful for. They have given me a safe place. Because of this, I am able to apply to enroll for spring courses at North Ga Tech College in January of 2027 to better myself and create a better potential for employment. I pray I am accepted. The course I'm taking does not issue a stipend.

<div>It has been a long, difficult and lonely journey. All I want is to be able to be in my sons life again who resides in another state. The goal is to restore stability and ask for visitation.

<div>I am 100% sober and not in legal trouble. Not on probation or parole.
</div>

<div>I have slept under buildings, in the woods without and with a tent, beside buildings, in parking lots, roadside, sidewalks, benches and behind dumpsters. Even harassed and arrested by police for being homeless as we are not allowed to sit down anywhere if we have a bag. So I mostly hid in the woods for 2025.

<div>A lot of people were trapped in domestic violence during COVID. I am one of them. Now that I'm away from my abuser i have found myself to be very much alone. They turned my family against me at the time and we have never fully recovered. The damage is done. I know a lot of people are in hardship as well. I pray they all have family that helps them.

<div>Being alone without friends or support makes it virtually impossible to rebuild. Even with help from sober living arrangements, which I have completed, doesn't make people hire you. There is a falsehood of hope that people dump on the so called solution of going to treatment. It just doesn't always help anything. Apparently I am one of those who falls through the cracks that nobody acknowledges or accepts the fact of the matter.

<div>These past 5 years has had devastating effects on me and my sons life. We both have been traumatized and ultimately separated by state without help.
</div>

<div>Every effort I make is to be reunited with my son.
</div>

<div>Immediate relief will be used for food and basic needs and ultimately to reunite with my son.
</div>
