Help Bert fight Non-Hodkins Lymphoma

We friends of Bertram Lowe are trying to raise money to support our friend in his fight to beat Non-Hodkins Lymphoma Cancer, and we are asking for your support. Anyone who knows Bert, knows him to be a very giving person, loyal friend, and a committed worker. So we want to suport him as he is in for the fight of his life. Most of you might already know that he began this journey in October. A little history is that he was laid off from his job in August 2013. In September his symptoms got worse, he thought it was his weight so he went to a weight lose clinic in California were he lost 100 pounds. After losing the initial weight he was able to fit into a CAT Scan machine, which allowed doctors to see his tumor. Before losing the weight he could not fit into a scan so they were just guessing and treating him with antibiotics and steroids. Shortly after this his throat began to close up on him and he had to have an emergency surgery to have a trachea placed in his windpipe so that he could breath. The mass even caused a block in his hearing and impaired his speech. While installing the trachea the doctors did a biopsy of the mass, which is the size of a golf ball, and discovered to be cancer, Malt Lymphoma. He is currently going through Chemo and not able to return to work. He has applied for a temporary disability benefit however has not been approved yet, and his doctors expect him to be in Chemo for 5 more months. His co-pays, medicines, insurance, and house bills are mounting as he has spent are savings. Please if you can support him in this journey. Any amount will help him get to his goal.
