Cancer interrupting a great family

Cancer. It's a 6 letter word that has touched most of us in some way, shape, or form. It's a word that is synonymous with fighting, family, friends, and hope. It takes a village to fight this terrible disease and it will take the world to get rid of it. I took it upon myself to start this page for a man that will never ask for help. Pat is a dear friend of mine who is one of those people that gives to the world with his big heart and big smile. Pat is a genuine person who gives selflessly.  He served our country as a Navy corpsman and years later has been able to take his skills and personality to a very successful career in sales. As I write this, in a few hours Pat will undergo a biopsy for brain cancer. After that the wonderful doctors treating him will attack this cancer aggressively and we all hope and pray this big hearted warrior will bless us with that big smile for many years to come. When you fight cancer you need to think and concentrate only on fighting that cancer. You need your friends, family, and the village to support that fight through the hard times. This is why I am asking you to donate some amount of money to let Pat and his beautiful family not stress about anything but fighting cancer. I figured if we get several hundred people to donate $25 that will give the family plenty of cushion so they can worry about the most important thing we all take for granted -health. If you can donate more that $25 thank you. If you cannot donate $25, any amount will do. I get we do not all have the means, but we all do have a heart and need to make this world a better place. Let's collect this as soon as we can to alleviate a stress that does not need to be there. Any left over funds will be donated to a philanthropy to help cure cancer or help families going through it. That will be up to Pat when he gets better. Thank you all for your donations. I promise you the world is a better place with Pat in it.
