Mission Colombia - July 2018

Hello friends!
For years I have prayed about stepping outside my comfort zone and serving on the missions field outside the United States! Mostly pryers like, "I'm not really cut out for that sort of thing Lord, let's face it, but I'm so thankful you have hands and feet everywhere, Amen!.."
HA!!
It's kind of true though.
While in my heart of hearts I've wanted to be brave enough to do something like this, its taken me meeting two crazy wonderful missionaries, John and Susie Bell, to get me to this miraculous place of wanting, and being excited, to go to a land where I can't drink the water, there's not actually always water to even bathe in, and it's so hot, I'm told makeup will be a melty mess, so "don't sweat it." (funny, not funny)

All kidding aside, I am so honored to be friends with John and Susie Bell of Healing Community Life Ministries, and be a regular donor of their ongoing work in Colombia. It took some convincing, but there is truly no one I trust more to lead me on this journey, and I humbly invite you to come alongside me as a prayer and/or financial partner. Make no mistake, if you give in either way, you are doing this with me, and we are on Mission Colombia together!
Here's some of what I'll be doing in Palenque:
- Leading worship in large and small group contexts
- Children's Ministry
- House to house evangelism
- Teaching in the local churches
- English Teaching
- Hosting a Women's conference
- Praying for the sick
- Whatever else the Holy Spirit allows!
(There is some talk of me recording some original music while there, which would be SO neat)
So here's the deets: I am seeking to raise $5000 for this venture, which will cover airfare, housing, food, on the ground costs, as well as all project costs for the full two weeks. This will also include providing for 30 women to attend the Women of Influence conference hosted by HCL Ministries in the city of Cartagena, as well as recouping the lost income I'll incur by investing two weeks personal time w/out pay from both my job at the school and the church.
I would be truly honored if you would pray and consider partnering with me in this endeavor of going to love on some families in a poverty stricken village who will no doubt touch me way more than I could ever hope to touch them. I welcome any transformation and perspective shift as a result and pray God will be able to use me in some way despite my many shortcomings.
