Focus On The Fight Not The Finances!

Hi Everyone. Many of you know this story. Some of you may not. The purpose of this campaign is to raise money for a family that is near and dear to many of our hearts. The Hernandez family are without a doubt the kind of family we all aspire to be like. Their commitment to their children, their jobs, their community and eachother is inspiring. Christine and Luis have been together since high school. They married and have 3 beautiful children, Jayden, Nathan, and baby Isabel. To say they are hard workers is an understatement. I've watched over the years how Luis has put in long hours, never using the the time off he had accrued and how Christine always makes sure her kids have everything they need never getting herself anything new unless everyone else is taken care of. These two have worked so hard to build a beautiful life and home for their family. To give their children a wonderful life and overcome the struggles they faced growing up. Recently Luis began having headaches and we were all shocked and devastated to hear the news that he had been diagnosed with a grade 4 Glioblastoma, a very rare aggressive form of brain tumor. Luis had brain surgery to remove the tumor and began chemotherapy on December 7th, 2017. The doctors told Christine and Luis he will most likely need multiple surgeries and that it will be an uphill battle. Even with the most bleak prognosis Luis has remained upbeat and positive. Their spirit and determination is remarkable. As you can imagine Luis, the main financial provider for his family, is unable to work and Christine is working hard to balance providing and being there for her 3 children and husband who will need more and more help as he fights through the difficult course of chemo. The bills are piling up and the cost of treatment is astronomical. The last thing this amazing family should have to worry about is paying their monthly bills. They are not used to accepting help as they have built everything they have from the ground up and would rather help than be helped. Let's all do what we can to come together and show them how much we love and support them. Let's get them through this! It's takes a village! I know many of us struggle to pay our own expenses but let's give whatever extra we can! Even $5 each pay period can help if we all band together and share this with as many people as possible!
