Evelyn Roth Arts Residency

From July 17 through the 26, 2014, Evelyn Roth, an internationally renowned eco-arts pioneer, textile and performance artist, will be in the East Bay for a 10-Day Artist Residency. She will be joined by her husband, eco-activist painter John Davis, and Mark Jeffers, Master Storyteller and Founder of Children’s Storybook Theater of Hanapepe, Hi.
Evelyn’s work was documented in the Canadian film, “Woven in Time,” in “The Evelyn Roth Recycling Book,” and was recently featured in The National Geographic Special, “Adelaide: A Global Smart City,” seen by over 120 million viewers.

Expressions Gallery Arts and Educational Center of Berkeley, a highly respected non-profit, dedicated to bringing art to the community, supporting classes, events, artists and public art presentations, is proud to be a sponsor, along with The City of Berkeley and Oakland Cultural Arts Commission, of The Evelyn Roth East Bay Arts Residency. The focus of the Residency will be on issues of sustainability, on global warming, recycling, climate change, vanishing species and pollution.
