Help for Eugenia O'Neal in the BVI

This is a picture of what's left of Eugenia O'Neal's house after Hurricane Irma passed through the British Virgin Islands. Eugenia O'Neal is a citizen of Tortola, an island in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) that was devastated by Hurricane Irma on September 6, and then slammed again by Hurricane Maria on September 20. Eugenia is a member of the writing community and is also known for her pithy and humorous Facebook commentaries about life on her island. She has been a generous friend to other writers and artists, freely sharing her accumulated knowledge.
Eugenia O'Neal needs our help now. She lost everything--all her worldly possessions--thanks to Hurricane Irma. Two weeks later, Hurricane Maria destroyed whatever might have been salvageable in the ruins of her house. She is now homeless and depends on the generosity of a friend for shelter. The island is slowly trying to come to grips with this horrific chain of events. To date, most buildings that remained standing are still open to the elements, without electricity which is estimated to be restored in March 2018, and without running water. Aid is flowing in, but distribution to areas outside the main town is still problematic. The situation is dire, and will remain so for some time.
Eugenia has named Shirley Creque, a trusted lifelong friend with BVI connections who currently resides in the US, as the beneficiary who will withdraw the proceeds of this fund and send them to Eugenia in the BVI via MoneyGram or through the bank when banks begin functioning fully. To ensure separation of duties and avoid conflict of interest, Shirley is not part of the coordinating team. She will only handle the funds and get them to Eugenia.
