Ertzberger House Fire Recovery

On December 27th, 2014, Aislinn's and Randy's and their children's lives changed irrevocably. Just two days after a wonderful Christmas, their Christmas tree caught fire and quickly wreaked havoc on their home. Aislinn’s and Randy’s quick action resulted in everyone safely making it out of the house. Their home and belongings however, weren’t so lucky; what wasn’t completely burned or melted is covered in soot and smoke damage.
The Ertzberger family of 6 is now displaced; they are living in a small hotel room, sharing two beds, and eating take out or microwave meals, living minute to minute. All of their belongings, but for what they wore that night and already had in their vehicles, remain in the home until recovery agents determine what is and is not salvageable.
Aislinn, an EMT, and Randy, a US Navy Veteran, are typically the ones offering assistance to others. They are not accustomed to asking for or needing help from others; at this time of hardship however, their family needs love and assistance.
Their family consists of: Randy (38), Aislinn (35), Donovan (15), Kassey (14), Hailey (13) and Clayton (9), and their fur babies: Daisy (boxer), Lulu (pug), Smeeglett (pug), Sassy (calico cat) and Tank (tabby cat).
