On Thursday, Jan 30th, just outside of Nashville, Eric Sommer was seriously injured in a violent accident on Rt. 40 while on his way to a weekend of shows in Dallas, Austin, San Marcos and Memphis.

Eric has been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love, concern and support for him. So many have asked how they can help: let's work together and assist with Eric's recovery expenses, and make that one less thing this singer, songwriter, Americana Artist and guitar player has to worry about.

None of us ever expect to be going through what Eric is having to deal with, but he is handling it with great faith and courage.

Although this account/site was not set up/created by Eric, his 'blessing and approval' were given for it to be created. This account has been set up so all donations can be directly and easily accessed by Eric as he works to get through this tough time.

Many of you are asking about the specifics on this accident, and we would like to share the details with you - but because there are insurances companies, damage issues, physical injuries and lawyers involved, until this is resolved, we can't really speak about specifics. Eric was not at fault, he did nothing wrong... a terrible vortex of events triggered by an irresponsible, wreckless driver.
