TB or not TB? Engineering in Uganda

Donation protected
As part of our senior design project at Case Western Reserve University, we are excited to spend some time later this semester in Uganda exploring issues surrounding tuberculosis (TB) and unsafe needle usage.
Click here for more information regarding TB in Uganda.

During our trip, we will be working alongside professors, clinicians, patients, students, and community members in order to assess in-country needs. Our specific goals include simplifying diagnostic procedures, and developing a non-reusable needle to prevent needle-transmitted diseases.

Our Team...
Our inter-disciplinary team is comprised of 6 Biomedical Engineers, 2 Chemical Engineers, and 1 Nursing student.

Let's talk money...
The total cost for this trip is roughly $12,000 and we are doing our best to make this financially reasonable for student budgets, including bake sales, grant applications, both on & off campus funding, etc. This is where YOU can help us! Please consider donating to our group and our cause. Funds raised will go towards airfare, lodging, in-country transportation, vaccinations, and project design expenses. Any help is greatly appreciated!
