Funeral Funds En Memoriam of Tom Hoffmann, Professor Emeritus

Tom Hoffmann, beloved composer, lost his life to a major myocardial infarction and arteriosclerosis on October 15th 2012.  Hoffmann was a Professor Emeritus of University of Maine at Augusta, Orono, Colby College, Syracuse University of New York, and Trinity College of Music, London.  Professor Hoffmann was a mentor to many talented students, many of which are now Professors in their own right.  His works have been featured on such programs as the Morning Edition on NPR.  Professor Hoffmann leaves behind a brother, his wife, 2 adult children, a nephew, a step daughter, a grandson, many cousins, and countless numbers of students and colleagues, all who have been deeply influenced by his life, his love, and his music. Always willing to help others, Tom gave freely of his time and talents.  This deeply spiritual man was a kind and gentle soul.  He deeply believed that his music was an extension of God, and that teaching music was his ministry.

Here is an excerpt from his final journal entry
dated October 15th 2012, entitled:

"With Quiet Humility" (Final Whisker of Dawn)

When it's Done, it's Done!
I am not of this world and never have been,
I came here for a specific purpose and it's done.
To prove the existence of God and
To show them by example, through prayer,
The way to Him, all that is... Is Real!
I know myself and be saying Truth!
